Practices

Fields will be available for practice on Saturday, July 25th and Sunday, July 26th. Teams may request a practice game against another team or a team practice. Practice games will include umpires and cost $40 for each team to go towards umpire expenses. There is no charge for team practices. Payment for practice games must be received by July 21st 5pm cdt and checks should be made out to “Town of Normal”. All practice requests must be emailed to Brennan at bwielgopolan@normal.org beginning July 6th. Practice requests will be taken on a first come first serve basis. Practices will be scheduled in 90 minute blocks on Saturday and Sunday. Please use the schedule below for choosing date and times for practices. Send your teams top 3 time and date choices to Brennan. Preferred practice times will try to be accommodated, but due to the large number of teams the schedule may have to be adjusted accordingly. Field assignments will be chosen based on the schedule that will accommodate the most teams. Please refer to the below schedule after July 6th as well. It will be updated as the practice schedule is put together.

***Due to the high demand for practice slots and a number of teams still to qualify teams will be allowed one time slot each day. Practices will be given 75 minutes, after that time teams must stop practice in order to stay on schedule. Teams listed in pairs will play practice games with umpires. Teams listed alone on a field are scheduled for a team only practice. Teams with a ** designation would like a practice game opponent. Teams may arrange a practice game instead of a team practice if they would like. Remember every practice game is a $40 charge to the team and payment must be received by July 21st 5pm cdt.
